
Tupilaq
The tupilaq is a constructed monster of Greenlandic tradition, stitched together from animal remains and human child corpses and animated to carry out a murder. It has no purpose but its maker's revenge and it will destroy him if it fails. Although it is assembled rather than raised whole, it belongs with the sorcerer-controlled dead of other cultures. Its nearest literary cousin is Frankenstein's creature.1
