Mullo
A tún ń pè é ní: mulo, muli, mule
The mullo is the returning dead of Romani tradition. It is a revenant with a grievance, coming back for those who caused its death, skimped its funeral or kept its property. Protective measures concentrate on the corpse itself, which is pinned with metal and thorn before or after burial. It shares its methods, and the figure of the dhampir, with the vampire beliefs of the Balkans.12
